Tamworth Castle is set within acres of beautiful grounds on top of a motte. With almost 1,000 years of rich history, there are plenty of places to explore, including the floral terraces that drop down to the banks of the River Anker and the ancient Tudor and Jacobean walls that bring a romantic and intimate feeling to any occasion.

CELEBRATE IN STYLE
The Great Hall has candelabra and chandeliers that create a twinkling glow and bring the room to life. The magnificent oak-timbered roof and decorated lead windows create a gorgeous backdrop for exchanging vows and set the scene for the rest of the day. This space has been wowing visitors for 100s of years and looks wonderful in photographs.

After the ceremony, couples can head to the courtyard to mingle with guests while the photographer gets to work snapping those all-important memories. The bandstand on the castle’s grounds provides a breathtaking backdrop and is worth taking a few minutes to visit.

WE LOVE...
The castle can work with its sister site, Tamworth Assembly Rooms, to create a bespoke menu and reception venue for weddings.

Legal experts from The University of Law say: "While there have been various updates to wedding laws in recent years, such as legalising same-sex marriage and changing the legal age requirement for marriage, nothing has changed the laws that govern marriage to this extent since the 1800s. "The main thing couples need to know now, is that nothing is going to change in the immediate future.
