The High Field has been crowned the best gastropub in Birmingham and the whole of the Midlands at the Midlands Food, Drink & Hospitality Awards 2022. Now in its sixth year, the awards recognise the best eateries, restaurants, bars, pubs and the people who work in them from across the region. More than 600 people attended the awards, which took place at the Eastside Rooms in Birmingham after a two-year hiatus.

"We are thrilled to have taken home the title of Best Gastropub at this year's awards, it really does mean a lot," says the general manager of The High Field, Charlotte Carter. "It's not the first time we have won – we were delighted to have been given the title in 2016 – but it's a big deal to win again as we constantly strive to make The High Field the best it can be. We take great pride in putting quality seasonal food on our guests' plates, keeping their glasses topped up with great beers, wines, spirits and cocktails, and giving them a fantastic experience every time they visit. Being recognised for this in the hotly contended public vote and by leading lights in the hospitality industry here in the city is doubly fantastic!"
