Q – Tell us about your company.
I set up Capriccio Quartet 20 years ago this June. I always wanted to be part of a string quartet, so I set up the company, and our first gig was for my dad’s 60th birthday. We have a long history, Graham joined the group and has been working with me since almost the beginning, and we’ve since found new players who have joined us along the way.

Q – What should couples expect when booking your services?
When couples get in touch via phone or email, we will send across a price list to give them a better idea of the services we offer.

Q – What packages do you offer?
We don’t offer set packages but instead offer our services based on the time required. We’re often booked to play as the bride enters the room, the signing of the register, the couple’s exit and drinks reception, which usually comes to two or two and a half hours.

Q – How long before the wedding should couples book?
The sooner, the better. We have weddings that have been postponed for the third time and new bookings, so our diary, even though it keeps moving forward, is absolutely packed. We have weddings scheduled for 2023, so please book as soon as possible.

Q – What’s your favourite part of the job?
I absolutely adore what we do and am very passionate about the music we play. We get to perform different genres but find we are requested to play mostly contemporary, pop and film music. We love playing at weddings, it’s such a pleasure to bring music to the table that couples and guests love. It’s always appreciated, and it’s great being part of our couples’ special days.

Q – Do you have any top tips for couples?
Book as soon as possible to avoid any disappointment and keep in mind that lots of couples have had to postpone.

If you have any song requests, then we’re more than happy to learn them, especially for your big day. We often get asked to do this, so don’t feel worried to ask.
