W Edinburgh's Rooftop Bar W Deck Reopens for Spring

W Deck, the standout rooftop bar on the 12th floor of five-star W Edinburgh, officially re-opened on Friday 3rd April with a new seasonal menu and music programming, just in time for the long Easter weekend. Sitting high above the city as Edinburgh's only 360-degree rooftop bar, W Deck’s expansive terrace offers panoramic views spanning Calton Hill, Edinburgh Castle and the historic spires of Scotland's capital (on a clear day you’ll also catch a glimpse of the Forth bridges and the Scottish sea).

Open throughout Spring and Summer, W Deck is Edinburgh’s only open-air rooftop bar with a fully circular outlook in the heart of the city.  Sun-washed afternoons roll seamlessly into long sunsets in a designed setting that feels relaxed yet elevated offering understated luxury high above the city.

New Seasonal Menu: Scottish Produce with a Global Twist
The new drinks menu has been curated with long afternoons and golden-hour sunsets in mind. Signature cocktails include Spicy Margaritas, Espresso Martinis and Hugo Spritzes alongside an impressive wine selection. From Laurent-Perrier Champagne and Côtes de Provence rosé to Argentinian Malbecs and New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc, there’s something for every palate. Local character is reflected in draught serves, including Edinburgh's own Cold Town Lager and Arthur's Apple cider. 

Led by Executive Chef David Lilley, W Deck’s refreshed seasonal menu pairs Scottish provenance with global flavours, designed for rooftop dining. Expect Cumbrae oysters with passionfruit and chilli mignonette, Eyemouth crab with mango and chilli on brioche or Oscietra sturgeon caviar served with truffle crisps and finger lime. Alongside the seafood, pinchos range from dry-aged Highland beef with wasabi mayo to Ibérico ham with Manchego and Edinburgh honey on sourdough.


W Sunset Sessions and Private Dining Pods 
W Deck channels W Hotels’ signature music culture, offering always-on music shaped by local inspiration offering an atmosphere-led soundtrack to long afternoons and golden-hour sunsets. On sunny Friday nights, W Sunset Sessions will host a new calendar of live music which will see regular DJ sets from W Edinburgh’s pick of the very best up-and-coming homegrown talent. Hosted on the W Deck from 8pm to 11pm (weather permitting), find sun-washed afternoons that ease into golden hour against the backdrop of Edinburgh's charming skyline. 

For those looking to take in the views regardless of the elements, guests can reserve one of the elegant glass-dome W Deck Pods. for an elevated rooftop experience.
