How to get glowing skin before your wedding: nutrition tips and supplements

With wedding season fast approaching, many brides are focusing not only on skincare but also on nutrition to achieve a radiant, healthy glow from within. We spoke to Maria Ribeiro (ANutr), Nutritionist at Innermost, a new brand of targeted supplements, to discover how diet can support skin health ahead of the big day. From glow-boosting nutrients to the supplements that may help enhance luminosity, she shares her expert tips for nourishing your skin in the lead-up to "I do."

Maria Ribeiro
Innermost, the Glow Blend

"When it comes to glowing skin, it’s helpful to think beyond skincare and look at what’s going on internally too. Skin cells are constantly renewing, so what you eat in the months leading up to your wedding can really make a difference to tone, texture and radiance.

"A diet rich in colourful, whole foods is a great place to start. Oily fish such as salmon or sardines provide omega-3 fatty acids, which help support the skin barrier and keep skin looking plump and hydrated. Vitamin C rich foods like berries, citrus fruits and peppers are also key, as vitamin C is essential for collagen formation and helps protect the skin from everyday oxidative stress. I’d also encourage including good sources of zinc and biotin, for example meats or seafood, oats, nuts and seeds, which contribute to supporting skin, hair and nail health.

"For extra support, some people choose to add a targeted supplement alongside a balanced diet. A blend such as The Glow Blend can be useful as it combines several ingredients known to support skin health, including hydrolysed collagen peptides for elasticity, hyaluronic acid for hydration, and vitamin C to support collagen production. Taken consistently, this kind of formulation can complement good nutrition and skincare, helping skin look smoother and more radiant over time.

"Ultimately, consistency is key - start early, nourish your body well, stay hydrated and manage stress where possible. Those foundations tend to show on your skin just as much as any product you apply topically."
