Tried & Tested: Home Care Dermaroller Set

Home Care Dermaroller Set

We had the opportunity to try the Home Care Dermaroller Set, so CWM editor Olivia Gibson took it out for a spin...

"I’ve always struggled with blemished skin and enlarged pores, especially on my cheeks. No matter what I tried, nothing seemed to help until I discovered the Dermaroller Set HC902. This small, handheld microneedling roller is incredibly easy to use but makes a surprisingly big impact.

"With 162 ultra-fine 0.2mm stainless-steel needles, it can be safely used on the face, neck and decollete, and lasts for up to 50 uses.

"After cleansing my skin, I started with my forehead. Using light pressure, I rolled the device vertically, horizontally and diagonally in a star pattern, lifting it each time I changed direction. It took a little getting used to, but it wasn’t painful - just a slightly unusual prickling sensation. I then worked my way down, ensuring not to miss a spot.

"I began using it once a week in the evenings to give my skin plenty of time to recover overnight, then increased to twice a week once I was confident my skin could handle it.

"Within a few weeks, my skin looked the best it ever has - brighter, clearer and with pores that looked noticeably smaller. This is all thanks to the microneedles that help remove dead skin and prevent blockages in the uppermost skin layer. I also noticed that my serums and moisturisers, especially hyaluronic acid, absorbed much more quickly and effectively. I always waited 10–15 minutes after rolling before applying anything.

"Cleaning the roller afterward was simple. I rinsed it under hot water, shook it dry, then sprayed four puffs of the included Roller Cleaner around the roller head and let it dry before storing it in its handy holder. Quick, easy and hygienic.

"Overall, I would highly recommend this product for anyone looking for smoother, more radiant skin. It gently exfoliates, improves texture, brightens the skin  and boosts blood flow for skin renewal. It’s safe, effective and easy to use but remember, hygiene is crucial. Failing to clean the roller properly could lead to irritation, infection, or breakouts. Don't let that be you!"
